Photo taken in August, 2016 @ Olmense Zoo, Belgium

Here's the adult Siberian Tiger, the one we suggest might just be the parent of Daylight. He was actually lounging in the shadows the whole time, but often times, patience pays off as she lifted her head and showed as the most beautiful face

His name turns out to have been Zino, who sadly died of old age in November 2016.

Species: Siberian or Amur Tiger (Siberische of Amoer Tijger)

Latin name: Panthera Tigris Altaica

Originates from Russia.

Current status: Endangered

 Did you know:

…The Siberian Tiger counts as the largest living Felid, and ranks amongst the biggest Felids to have ever existed.

Thanks :D
I always think photographing at the zoo, with all the different environments and conditions, is difficult. But then I try and photograph my cat and that often seems even more difficult :faint:

As much as I love wildlife photography, it can be painful and frustrating at the same time, with not being able to get to the best angles due to being in safari vehicles, or in the case of when we were in the Ugandan jungle with the Gorillas, due to the nature of the landscape and a few other factors it was a really challenging process to capture well. And yeah haha, don't get me started with domestic cats, there are three at my parents place and they are just annoying, even though they are gorgeous creatures :)

She has the "Who? Me? " look on her face.
And it is beautiful.

All things considered, I am not a fan of sappy pop songs, but her expression gives the "You don't know you're beautiful" song a whole new meaning. :)

Thinking back, she probably heard something and it really made for the best photo oppurtunity - and I'm so happy I got it oncamera

That's the problem with photographing animals. There's a really big element of luck in success. I do have to say, you guys got really, really lucky! :)

I work in a place where the radio is constantly on. I try really hard to tune it out, but it's difficult. ^^;
Once in a while, it works out nicely, though. Like now! :)

Very true  It's really about 75% of any of our photos

When my sister and I are both home, she loves to listen to the radio. Except she's real picky, so she's constantly hopping  Makes us get to know a lot of different styles of music, and a lot of new songs too - and in these cases (coming up with photo titles) it really comes in handy :)

My brother and I share a large body of music together. He has a more contemporary taste (read: more safe-for-work) while I range anywhere from heavy industrial to music in a vast number of different languages. But it has been great either way. Sharing music helps to expand our mind and our horizon.

... and if it helps with coming up with deviation titles, even better! :XD:

Thank you :aww:

It's the only good photo I managed to take of her, lying in the shadow with the backdrop of the harsh sun.
Looking at it at home, I realized just how stunning she really looks
