Never before have I seen a Griffon Vulture Chick.
To imagine, I might not have even seen it if I had stuck to the path set out, since it wasn't in it's normal habitat with all the other Griffon Vultures.
No, the chick and his parents were set between the Tapirs and the Marabou Stork.
There wasn't even a "shield" to keep them in, as if the mere presence of the fragile chick would keep them to the ground.
He was so adorable, though you might not make that out from a plucked naked scavenger.Made it in April, 2012 @ Zoo Duisburg, Germany
