Description
Photo taken in January, 2017 best ZOO, The Netherlands
The cubs were allowed some unadulterated play time till they got too big to innocently use people as obstacles as they gave chase to one another.
Shooting indoors, with such bad lighting, it's really hard to get any good photos, but we gave it our best shots.
The cubs are once again a male and female, and because their mom has a bad track record with taking care of her cubs, they were hand-raised.
They're about 4-5 months old in this pic

Species: Sri Lankan Leopard (Sri Lankaanse panter)
Latin name: Panthera Pardus Kotiya
Originates from Sri Lanka.
Current status: Endangered
Did you know:
…The Sri Lankan Leopard was only first described in 1956, by the Sri Lankan zoologist Deraniyagala.
…Its Latin addition “kotiya” is a Sinhala name, but has been often wrongly translated as “Tiger” due to incorrect information, mistaking Leopards for “diviya”, the Sinhala term for small wild cats; since then, “kotiya” has been used for Tigers, and “diviya” for Leopards.
