Description
Photo taken in August, 2014 @ Olmense Zoo, Belgium
This Belgique zoo had 2 adorable little Bat-Eared Foxes. Not little as in babies, but little as in small. My Dad thought they were a "lesser" variety, but I've never heard of it. Don't know if they even exist. All I know, is that I'm used to the Bat-Ears from ZieZOO, and having seen them after this visit, I can say for sure, these fellows are defiinitely smaller.
Their ears are still bat-like, but not as big. But those faces simply too adorable.

Species: Bat-Eared Fox (Grootoorvos of Lepelhond)
Latin name: Otocyon Megalotis
Originates from South Africa.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…The Bat-Eared Fox is predominantly monogamous.
…In contrast to other Canids, they have a reversal in parental roles, the males taking on the majority of parental care behavior.
…Some view Bat-Eared Foxes as an entirely different sort of species – the Otocyon – while others say it is in fact closely related to the true Foxes, of the genus Vulpes, and another group divides them into an outgroup which is not closely related to true Foxes at all.
