You forgot science fiction! I was born the year science fiction made its huge comeback in the Fifties, and I grew up loving it in all forms. Sadly, many sci fi movies of today rely too much on CGI and do not have a good story. So, I watch a lot of older films.
I do like horror but not "torture porn" and ones that think slashing and mutilating people is "horror". Again, I tend to watch a lot of older, non-splatter films.
