Sengis are awesome animals
Elephant Shrews are bigger than an ordinary kind of mouse, but with that tapered nose - you know, long nose = elephant trunk - they look just so adorable
This kind is one of the prettiest we've see far; if you take a good look, you see he has this very fancy light eye-liner that gives him a sophisticated look
Species: Rufous Elephant Shrew or Rufous Sengi (Rosse olifantspitsmuis)
Latin name: Elephantulus Rufescens
Originates from Eastern Africa.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…Couple of Rufous Elephant Shrews will defend their territory by ruffling up their hind legs and chasing of intruders.
…An Elephant Shrew is called a “Rüsselspringer” in German.
