When: August 6, 2017
Where: Olmense Zoo, Belgium
You'd think all Silver Foxes are the same, and looking at this guy, it's understandable to think so. However, he's a lot darker, with more black and mostly a grey face and flanks, and tip of the tale. Two of his mates in the enclosure were, however, completely different. Those guys look more like Marbled Foxes; they're white with light grey. Truly beautiful, but they were more shy. Not these guys - they say right in front of the fence and looked at us.
This photo was supposed to be submitted via the schedule early this morning, but wasn't due to a unknown error I hope this isn't going to happen more often, because I've scheduled 2 photos a day all the way to January 31st... Hope you enjoy him still and all the other photos will be coming your way when they should

…Despite its name, the Red Fox is known to appear in abnormal colorings, such as albinos and melanists.
… Silver Foxes are a mutation of the Red Fox, bred for their fur and now finding their way into life-long homes at zoos, saved from being skinned and their pelts sold.
