Description
When: May 16, 2017
Where: ZieZOO Volkel, The Netherlands
One of the cutest Parma Wallaby joeys we've had the pleasure to meet so far. This tiny guy was confidently out of his Mom's pouch (though when things got too scary, he would at least attempt/pretend to get back in). Even better, he was confident in his skin, and surroundings. He was yawning, grooming, enjoying a bit of grass and making the most adorable faces while at it
Species: Parma Wallaby (Parma Wallaby)
Latin name: Macropus parma
Originates from New South Wales, Australia
Current status: Near Threatened
Did you know:
.. In the Nineteenth century it was believed the Parma Wallaby was extinct, but in 1965 and 1967 wild populations were found and captured for breeding/preservation purposes. Now the Parma Wallaby is not common, but not extinct either.
