Description
When: April 1, 2018
Where: BestZOO Best, The Netherlands</blockquote>
We'd missed the first Dorcopsis joey, so when we first noticed one of the females had a moving, slightly bulging pouch we knew we only had to wait before this cutie showed itself
Of course, it didn't happen quite as we hoped it would. When she kept her distance from the glass, the reflection was too much. And when she realized we were interested in her baby she was all too happy to show the young joey. From that up close, it's even trickier to photograph them
Still, really happy with this cutie
Species: White-Striped Dorcopsis or Greater Forest Wallaby (Hagenwallaby)
Latin name: Dorcopsis Hageni
Originates from New Guinea.
Current status: Least Concern
