When you see somebody yawn...

The both of us really love Raccoon Dogs This is the first zoo we saw them at, and since this place is what got us hooked to zoos (because seriously, a 20 minute bicycle ride from home? You bet we are regulars) we've seen plenty of them. But once you start sharing a bunch of photos of them early on - with 2 litters of pups! - you feel like you've taken almost every photo you can probably take of them.
We felt it was high time we shared a photo of one of these lovelies again

Species: Raccoon Dog (Wasbeerhond)

Latin name: Nyctereutes Procyonoides

Originates from Europe and Asia.

Current status: Least Concern

…Despite its name, the Raccoon Dog is neither a Raccoon, nor a Dog, but a species of its own.
